Hi Fly celebrates 10 years of operation

Hi Fly, a Portuguese airline specialized in wet leasing, celebrates this year its tenth anniversary, having already secured its place as a company of reference in the global market.
Hi Fly, created in 2005, begun it's operation in early April 2006, when the company was issued its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) by the Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC). The airline’s fleet presently comprises 11 long-range Airbus aircraft, models A321, A330 and A340. Paulo Mirpuri, founder and President of Hi Fly, says: “Since Hi Fly’s first flight in 2005, we have come a long way. As an airline specialized in the supply of commercial aircraft with crew, maintenance and insurance included (Wet Lease), Hi Fly has achieved a recognized high status, earning the trust of the most relevant international customers, and being able to fly without restrictions to any destination in the world.
Hi Fly is certified by the Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority, by the Civil Aviation Directorate within Transport Malta, and has secured the necessary approvals to operate in the US (approval by the United States Department of Transportation, OPS Specs FAR Part 129 and approval by the Transportation Security Administration), as well as in Mexico, Brazil, Australia and Canada, countries which require special permits. Hi Fly operates in full compliance with the European standards, EASA, EU-OPS and IOSA, the most demanding worldwide.
